Tim Bush Biography
Currently working with five local bands, Tim Bush is one of the most sought after bassists
in the downtown area. As a sideman, he picks up tunes on the fly and remembers them forever.
While studying classical guitar at Chabot College in Hayward, he played in a Psychodelic-Melodic-Atonal-Bluesy-Punk band at night, with bassist Matt Agar and drummer Joe Cabral, and spent many hours at the Mabuhay Gardens in San Francisco watchingsuch luminaries as Psychotic Pineapple, The Nuns, The Plasmatics and of course The Dead Kennedy's. After moving to Fort Bragg, CA in 1979, Tim started working with The Flight Brothers, a very popular local Blues band.
Returning to the Bay Area in '81 he re-enrolled at Chabot and hooked up with Gail Muldrow with whom he started I.B. Loud and Volume with drummer Joe Cabral. Moving to Marin County in '91 he has played with many bands and projects including The Geezers, Spudnig, Spew, Ring of Fire and, of course, Chuck Day and the Burning Sensations.
Currently, Tim is working with Chuck, The WTJ Trio, Danny Montana & the Bar Association, Sweetie Pie & The Doughboys, The Damned Bambies and Fluffy Bunny.
