Juliard alumnus Cathleen Riddley excels as an actress in professional productions ranging from 'The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas' to 'A Raisin in the Sun.' Always a tangible presence she tends to raise the bar for cast and crew and often stuns the audience with her performances.

Offstage, she is a high-level ASL interpreter and often uses this skill translating songs as she sings. Feeling the water below the bridge or the sun in the sky, all is illuminated with Cate.

An Iowa native, Riddley moved to Fairfax in 19?? and jumped right in to the local music scene helping to fire up audiences with groups like Spudnig and the Annie McIntyre Band before forming her own band with guitarist, vocalist and husband Mike McShea.

Sweetie Pie and the Doughboys rapidly became very popular among local denizens, providing music for the boogie and melodies to melt the hardest heart.
